Career Highlights

One half of the famed "Dan vs. Dave" Reebok commercial, Dave was the one who actually made it to the starting line at Barcelona Olympics. Earlier in 1992, Dave gave an indication of his fitness by scoring a PR total of 8727 at the Relays, a mark which remains the meet record. Unfortunately, hobbled by a broken foot in Barcelona, Dave could not match this score, but still willed his way to a bronze medal performance.

In addition to holding the Relay's meet record, Dave also holds the distinction of having won the most decathlon titles (4) of any competitor in Mt. SAC history.
