Career Highlights

Meg won only two Relays' titles, but her winning mark in 1981, 221-5, left quite an impression. It remains to this day the meet record. It's still the collegiate records. It also still stands as the British national record. And it only recently fell from the list of the world's top 50 all-time performances in the event.

Meg completely dominated discus throwing in Britan. She holds 39 of the top 40 performance on the British all-time list. After winning three national championships, she enrolled at the University of Arizona, where she won the NCAA Championship in 1982. She was a member of two British Olympic teams, and had her best showing at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, where she finished 5th.

Meg was also an accomplished shot putter. She won the 1982 NCAA title, and continues to hold the all-time collegiate record (62-3 3/4) in the event.
