Arnie was a long-time participant at the Mt. SAC Relays, competing as a prep, community college student, university student, and club member. After winning the U.S. Olympic long jump trials in 1972, Arnie finished third at Olympics, which was won by teammate Randy Williams. In 1976, Arnie again won the U.S. Olympic long jump trials. This time, he turned the tables on Williams, winning the Olympic gold medal, while Williams finished second. Born: 1948 College: San Diego State |
