Career Highlights

During a long career, Karin won the Relays' javelin title five times. Her winning throw in 1983, 211-11, remains to this day the meet and stadium record.

During a truly exceptional career, Karin made 4 Olympic teams. She was ranked among the top 10 javelin throwers in the U.S.15 times over a 16 year period, with 8 of those rankings at #1. Karin and Kate Schmidt together hold the top 20 spots on the the U.S. all-time performance list, Karen with eight throws and Kate with twelve.

Karin's throw of 211-5 in 1981 remains the top U.S. collegiate throw in history.
