Mt. SAC Relays - High School Foreign Athlete Registration Information

All appropriate forms (presented in English) listed below must be received in the Mt. SAC Relays Office by Thursday, March, 20, 2008, for any foreign athlete to be eligible for entry into the Mt. SAC Relays.

The Mt. SAC Relays welcomes high school athletes from outside the United States to compete in the Relays; however, the Mt. SAC Relays are sanctioned by the National Federation of State High School Associations and must follow all the Association’s mandates regarding athletes competing from outside the United States.

High School athletes who wish to be considered for acceptance into the Mt. SAC Relays entering MUST meet all of the following criteria.

An athlete MUST officially be entered into the meet by his/her current high school. The athlete may not be entered by a club, association, parent or any other organization; furthermore, there must be an official representative from the school listed on the entry form who can be contacted regarding the entry—the athlete’s entry will only be discussed with that school representative.

The Mt. SAC Relays Office must have in its possession by March 20, 2008, a letter (WRITTEN IN ENGLISH) on official school letterhead, signed by the principal or head master of the school, listing each individual foreign entrant, specifically stating that each individual entrant listed meets the following requirements…
- Athlete is currently enrolled at this school and is passing a minimum of four academic classes.
- Athlete is not more than 18 years of age.
- Athlete has not completed more than seven total semesters of high school course work.
Any relay team must consist of only athletes that are currently enrolled in the same high school. Athletes from different schools who compete for the same club team cannot compete on a relay team together in the Relays.

The Mt. SAC Relays is a high level invitational event--we do not accept all entries into the meet. Once all athletes have been officially entered, our seeding committee will determine which athletes are accepted.

It is the responsibility of any school wishing to enter foreign athletes into the Relays to make sure all information is correctly submitted by the date listed above. All entries which do not contain ALL of the requested information above or entries that are not RECEIVED in our office by March 20, 2008, will not be accepted.
